Criteria: The Capacity-Building for Health-Based Initiatives and Ministries with EHE Enhanced Strategies or the CHIMES program is a 10-week program that focuses on the development or enhancement of health ministries in faith-based entities (churches, ministries, groups, and other entities motivated by faith or religion) that are:

• located in or serving communities of color, and/or
• led by persons of color, including those led by persons identifying as LGBTQ+ in Central Florida

About: This program is partially grant-funded by Gilead Compass Initiative and The Faith Coordinating Center at Wake Divinity.

Inspiration and Change, Inc.'s CHIMES program provides technical assistance, capacity-building, and coaching that incorporates the national and local ending the HIV epidemic (EHE) strategies and provides a foundation for successful health promotion to communities of color about common health disparities, including HIV and their social determinants. The program service area is Central Florida (Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, and Lake Counties.

Those who complete the program will have a strategic, structured health ministry that incorporates EHE strategies, includes a Health Ministry Wellness Strategic Plan, and a planned activity and event calendar for immediate implementation. No matter your faith, we welcome you and will support a learning process based on your faith.

Attendees who complete the program will receive training and six certificates in:

• CHIMES
• Vital Signs
• HIV Basics
• Mental Health First Aid
• CPR
• Grant Writing

Tuition for this training is $599 per person. Your tuition covers all classes and supplementary training (Vital Signs, HIV Basics, Mental Health First Aid, CPR, and Grant Writing) and all supplies. The supplies include your own blood pressure cuff and stethoscope for vital signs training. There are guest speakers scheduled and there will be homework after each session. Each class will include handouts, activities, and/or practice. This training will be intensive but fun. Be sure you are able to commit the time to get the best results from it!
